I use texture, as you can see the texture 1- has a green color but the result gives 2-the texture but not the color
i dont know why that is i never had the problem before it suddenly happened today
Gimper,
It looks like you are trying to use some compressed files (Voronei_Diegoxxx.7z), and this compressed format is not supported by Gimp.
It also looks like the RoyalFabric.pat pattern is not in the folder it should be in. Check in Edit - Preferences - Folders - Patterns if the folder is properly registered.
I could even attach a copy of my Layerfx plugin, but I did a test, and using the same settings you posted I also don't get colors for the selected textures.
The only difference is that I have no errors when using this plugin.
I downloaded this copy recently, I believe it was on Gimpchat. I don't remember if my previous version of the textures had colors or not, but I think they did.
Maybe I will install the old version of Layerfx again.

Again...
Gimper,
Some options; I don't know if they would be the best, but always good to have options.
On the website GimpScripts there are older versions for LayerFX, in Pack 06; files 104, 105 and 106 (this one for 2.8).
There are also two other versions, one in .py and the other in .scm
https://www.gimpscripts.net/2020/09/new ... x-210.html
Another option:
Use the Pattern Overlay option on your Layerfx.
I downloaded and am testing the .scm version, but it is different from the .py version. No preview and settings and features are different. In the Bevel and Emboss option there is no adjustment for texturing. Still an option to be tested.

I used the bucket fill tool here and the pattern works perfectly there
I have now used a patern that has been in my patern folder for a long time, but the same result.
the patern structure is there but no color.
Gimper,
I uninstalled my updated version of LayerFX and installed an older one.
The result is the same, no colors for texturing. It seems that this is how it always worked.
Perhaps it is related to the bumpmap needed to create the bevel and emboss.
I think the Pattern Overlay option in LayerFx should be considered

I did the bevel and emboss, selected the letter and filled a new layer with the color patern and put this layer under the highlight and shadow layer.
I downloaded your G.xcf and confirmed that:
Doing as you did;
As they say, there are several different ways to scald the same cat (I think that's the saying ...)
Doing as you did;
or by applying Pattern Overlay (in LayerFX) to the text and then applying Bevel and Embos on the same layer, the result is exactly the same. But there is no need to select the text or create a new layer.
