LINES WITH THE PATHS TOOL
I always notice that when I make lines with the paths tool, they are not always nice and straight.
I've made an example here where you can clearly see the inequality of the lines.
now my question is, is that related to the paths tool itself or is there something wrong with my gimp program on my computer.
I hope there is a solution for that because I work a lot with the paths tool, because it is fantastic to work with.
pending,gimper

I use paths quite a lot too Gimper but with regular shapes I always use 'Snap to grid' to align the points.
With regular curves I zoom in and make sure that the control handles are also locked on to the grid points at exactly the sane distances.
A bit of a pain but it seems to work.

skinnyhouse,thanks for your response
but i am concerned with the fact that the curved lines are always jagged, with the straight lines there is no problem.
this also happens when you use snap to grit.

Of course you always get the jagged effect when zooming in.
I wondered if you have antialiasing option unset in the 'Choose Stroke Style' dialog?

Excellent! Bet you accidentally clicked it off at some point.
Gimp power fully restored then.
