And the BevelReflectLogo- create - logos (gimpchat) only works with version 6
So I have installed version 6 again.

Trying version 1.7 at least narrows the field for me. Was going to ask you to check the version of the ML Bevel Reflect app or Exe file in the plug-ins folder to see if it is version 2. Also I wondered which version of the portable gimp you were using?

Skinnyhouse, I have Samj Gimp Portable.
The items installed which given me problems are those posted below. But I return to the v1.6 because I need it is working alright.

Forgot I also had SJ Portable Gimp v 2.10.18.

Custom Font Bevel Reflect failed to find the bevel reflect logo script. Interesting!

That is the error that I keep getting! Thought I had something in the wrong place but checked and was OK. Using the same versions of Samj Gimp 2.10.23 and bevel reflect.

Oh, Skinnyhouse! I feel silly about this but the reason for the above errors for me was that I thought I had all the needed files active. However, when I was checking again, I realized that the BRL 1.7 was not activated in the Addon Manager. Now it is working perfectly!

Oh dear Issabella - the waters are getting muddier!
Downloaded 2.10.22 portable from SamJ and once I had directed the folder preferences to my user folders everything worked perfectly:
